The Oxygenics Body Spa Shower Head uses a clever design that mixes water with air to turn even low water pressure into a nice, strong, shower.
The Oxygenics is guaranteed to never clog, as it uses internal materials that prevent hard water buildup.
The Oxygenics Body Spa Shower Head is one of the best and easiest upgrades you can make to your RV. We added our Body Spa after the cheap, factory-installed shower head clogged up after 4 months of use (CA hard water), and it’s worked great ever since!
Make sure to order the Body Spa Shower Head that includes the wall mount as we needed it.

We both love taking a nice hot and strong shower in the morning, and we prefer to use our RV’s shower (a lot of people use the RV park showers instead). We found that RV Park Water Pressure varies dramatically, and even supplementing the water pressure with the water pump didn’t give us the strength of flow we liked from the ‘standard’ shower head that came in our RV.
We knew there had to be something better, so we did a few quick searches and came across the Oxygenics Shower head. It was recommended on most of the RV forums, so we ordered one along with the wall mount (very important).
It’s a good thing we ordered the wall mount, as the Oxygenics did not fit in our ‘standard’ shower mount. Personally I was ok with this as I (Rich) am tall (6’4″) and the factory shower head was mounted too low for my liking anyway.
Oxygenics Body Spa Installation
It was a fairly simple job to remove the old mount, fill the holes with some silicone, and then install the new mount. I did use silicone around the new screws as well – although the mount is well designed and seems unlikely to leak.
One of the nice things about the design of the Oxygenics is that it’s rather tall, so even though I raised the mount I didn’t need to raise it very far. The showerhead itself added an extra 6+ inches of height, which worked out great.
Another bonus is that the Oxygenics now includes a shutoff toggle. This is a must while boondocking as it allows you take the famous ‘military shower’ where you rinse for 10 seconds, then turn the water off and get lathered up, then rinse off for 30 seconds.
Note that the shutoff toggle doesn’t shut the flow off 100%. This is partly to ensure that the water stay temperate. If you want to fully shut off the shower while you lather, you’ll need to add an inline shutoff – and I added an inexpensive plastic unit from a hardware store for this purpose.
How Well Does The Oxygenics Shower Head Work?
The Body Spa Shower Head works – and works incredibly well!
Don’t you hate it when you’re in a dribbly motel shower, and you don’t feel like you can rinse all the soap out of your hair no matter how hard you try?
The Oxygenics Body Spa is the exact opposite. It blasts out a consistent, steady, and powerful stream of water that rinses me from head to toe completely in a matter of seconds. It’s perfect for taking quick showers – which is perfect for an RV!
The way the shower head adds oxygen to the water flow to increase the feel of pressure is ingenious – and even better is the fact that it never clogs. Our factory shower head had mini jets that clogged or directed the water in random directions almost instantly. Not so with the Oxygenics.
Pros:
- Strong water flow, even with low PSI
- Easy to Install
- Sits taller than most shower heads
- Includes shutoff toggle for boondocking
Cons:
- None that we’ve found yet
Summary
We’ve had our Oxygenics shower head for nearly 3 years now, and I’m still thrilled every time I take a shower. The strong water flow regardless of RV park PSI helps me feel awake and clean every morning – and you can’t put a price tag on that! 🙂
We recommend that everyone install this shower head in their RV. We think it would work well in your home (if you have one) too!
